Responsible and sustainable use of our resources and social commitment for the common good are very close to the hearts of the Maier family and the Maier Privathotels team. We put our heart and soul into our ecological and social responsibility, pursuing and developing a wide range of projects and measures. Our common, concrete goal: social coexistence and a positive ecological balance of our businesses.
Environmental protection – for an environment worth living in
Living and travelling in an environmentally conscious way – that is the focus for more and more people today. We would like to accompany our guests in this to the best of our ability. The entire team at Maier Privathotels is actively committed to a sustainable orientation: Together we are working to further reduce our ecological footprint and to live a more sustainable awareness and commitment at all levels. In our hotels, we have so far relied, among other things, on a diverse range of organic products from regional production, on the use of energy-efficient technology and green electricity, on resource-saving housekeeping and projects such as our hotel’s own e-charging station and on-site bicycle rental.

Housekeeping Station – Zimmerservice weiter gedacht
Together with our guests, we set an example: against wasting resources and for environmental protection. In one’s own home, towels are usually not changed daily, nor is the bed made anew every day – even the daily cleaning of all rooms in the hotel is hardly contemporary nowadays. At Maier Privathotels, our guests do without automatic room service, but not without their comfort: if there is a need for fresh towels or bathroom articles, simply help yourself at our housekeeping station. Thanks to your help, we have less plastic waste, less energy consumption and less pollution – and thus a much more positive environmental balance.
Leihfahrräder – in München nachhaltig unterwegs
Take advantage of our rental bike service and explore Munich on two wheels! Six hotel-owned bikes are available for relaxed tours through the city or out into the countryside. Enjoy the freedom on two wheels, completely independent of buses, trains and the search for a parking space. Start your Munich adventure right outside the hotel door!
Bicycles can be rented directly at the reception from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. subject to availability (but no advance reservation of bikes). The daily rate is 15 euros per bike – a practical bike map is also included; just ask our staff for their tour tips – there is sure to be a suitable tour for you. We expect you back at the hotel by 10:30 pm at the latest – unfortunately no return is possible after 11 pm. If you arrive after 10:30 pm, we have to charge a 10 € fee. If a bike pick-up is necessary, a 100 € surcharge will apply.

Enjoy Bavarian delicacies, healthy juices, muesli with fruit, crispy rolls, fluffy egg dishes and fragrant coffee specialities.

We also focus on regionality and quality when choosing suppliers for our hotels: sustainability, innovation and the high standards of our own work are just as important as social responsibility. We are proud of our excellent network of traditional Bavarian companies and family-run businesses from our home region. They have been supplying us reliably with top-quality products, often for many years – we know each other and share the same values. You simply know what you have!
E-Ladestationen – Stromtankstelle im Hotel
We support the sustainable e-mobility of our guests and are expanding our service with our four new hotel-owned charging stations under the motto “arrive and charge up in a relaxed way”. At the e-charging station directly in the underground car park of our hotel, you can charge your electric vehicle with 100 % green electricity from Stadtwerke München – ensuring that everything is ready for your next excursion and/or onward journey. For the underground parking space, we charge a fee of EUR 18 per night/vehicle in addition to the charging costs. Billing takes place directly via the charging point.

Nachhaltig schön – praktische Refill-Kosmetik
In our hotels, cosmetics are refilled instead of thrown away. This not only effectively helps to save plastic waste, but also looks good. We have environmental protection and resource conservation in mind and therefore rely on cosmetic products exclusively in refillable dispenser systems. These practical refill solutions for cosmetic products ensure more sustainability in the bathroom.
Nachfüllbare Putzmittel – umweltbewusst reinigen
We want to leave a brilliant impression on our guests in every respect – the high-quality, efficiently usable cleaning agents and disinfectants from Cedos ensure the highest level of cleanliness and a perfect feel-good atmosphere in all rooms of our hotels. Refillable cleaning dosing systems individually adapted to our requirements make correct application easy – so we achieve the best results and protect the environment at the same time.
Strom-Zertifikate – Zertifizierte regionale Öko-Energie
We rely on renewable energies for the energy supply of our hotels. By using sustainably produced, green electricity from Stadtwerke München, we actively promote the regional expansion of facilities for generating electricity from the sun and water in Munich and the region. The fact that our climate-friendly electricity tariff contributes to the energy turnaround is also guaranteed by certificates.
Sustainable furniture
For us, sustainability begins with the furnishing of our hotel rooms by the company “Proplan” – together with our partner, we focus on durable, resource-saving furnishings. As a regional supplier, the company based in Rosenheim impresses with fast delivery times, personal contact and great reliability – proximity pays off in many ways here. Short delivery routes, environmentally friendly certification and the use of recycled materials minimise the environmental impact of hotel furniture procurement. Proplan furniture is also customised locally in Germany in compliance with various environmental standards. In this way, we set a further example for the sustainable and responsible operation of our hotel.
Wäscheservice - Saubere Sache, auch für die Umwelt
It is not only in the culinary area that we rely on regional partners and sustainable commitment. When it comes to textile management and laundry services for our hotels, we also focus on protecting the environment, energy-efficient operating processes and the careful use of resources. With the Landshut-based company Urzinger, we have found the right partner. Our hotel laundry is washed in compliance with ecological standards according to an audited environmental management system. The family-owned company has been constantly improving its energy, water, electricity and detergent consumption for years.
