Berchtesgadener Land

The award-winning dairy is organized as a cooperative and the farmers themselves are the owners. Great importance is given to animal welfare and local feed without genetic modification. Social responsibility and fair milk prices also play a major role at Berchtesgadener Land. The high-quality standards of the organic pioneers can even be measured in the ingredients of the milk: it contains particularly high levels of omega-3 fatty acids.

If there’s one thing we Bavarians have known since the Middle Ages, it’s how good beer should taste. It doesn’t matter whether it’s a light beer from the Augustiner brewery, a dark beer from Hacker-Pschorr or a Franziskaner wheat beer: the important thing is that it’s traditionally brewed in Munich. Over 670 years of tradition: the Augustiner brewery is the production site of Munich’s oldest beer brand. Whether pale, dark or noble – only what is made of water, hops, malt and yeast is served. Munich’s most favourite.

It all began generations ago with the main shop on Walterstraße. Then and now, the Zöttl bakery and confectionery relies on honest quality, natural ingredients and masterful craftsmanship. For over 100 years, the Black Forest manufactory Faller has been producing high-quality jams. The fully ripe fruits are cooked in an open copper kettle and carefully stirred by hand. Sustainability and regionality are of great importance: a large part of the fruit is delivered from the neighbouring Markgräflerland or the Kaiserstuhl. For example, only black cherries from the region are used for the Baden black cherry jam.

The secret of the master distillery is the attention to detail as well as the many years of experience of the master distiller – and this is now already in the fifth generation.
